Artists of this week’s ‘Take 7′, which included: A Pink, Boyfriend, Davichi & T-ara, and Trouble Maker.
As for today’s winner it was Trouble Maker, congratulations!

SBS 100 Million Quiz Show: IU poses quiz questions to audience

IU made a special appearance on the first official episode of SBS ’100 Million Quiz Show’ broadcasted live on Jan 6th.
During the 3rd round of quiz questions, IU appeared on the screen to give everyone the questions and 10 of the people who answered correctly received 1 million won each. (Note: I’m guessing there were 10 rounds in total which makes up the 100 million.)
IU said, “Saengseon is short for birthday (saengil) present (seonmul). Also, munsang is short for culture (munhwa) gift certificate (sangpumkwon). Then, out of the following options, which item is related to ‘beokachung’? 1. A book of tickets 2. Straw 3. Medicine for stomach ache.”
The audience was given 3 minutes to text their answers to the number provided. After which, IU announced, “The correct answer is no. 1. You have to top up your bus card (beoseukadeuchungjeon) to travel, so it’s ‘beokachung’ in short.”

IU, KARA, and T-ara amazed at the magic tricks performed on ‘Star King’

The nation’s sweetheart IU was beyond shocked on the latest episode of SBS ‘Star King‘.
National magician Choi Hyun Woo and three ‘magicians king’s Choi Hyung Bae, Kim Min Hyung, and Lee Jun Hyung guest-featured on the January 7th episode of ‘Star King’.
Singer IU was completely shocked when magician Choi Hyung Bae made IU’s fellow ‘Inkigayo‘ MC,KARA member Goo Hara’s necklace disappear.

IU wins Music Bank K-Chart 5th week in a row

‘Music Bank’ is back with another fun and exciting show that was chock-full of amazing performances!
The MCs UEE from After School and actor Lee Jang Woo is ready to the new year with Music Bank.
Besides the usual stages on tonight’s show, F.I.X made their debut, NS Yoon-G, Lee Hyun, Teen Top, Fat Cat, CHAOS,made their comeback as a project duo while T-ara began their follow-up promotions.
As for the winners, IU faced off against Girls’ Generation but in the end, it was IU who clinched the ‘K-Chart’ win.

IU appears on ‘The Great Birth 2′, Yoon Sang, “You’re a loyal fellow”

Singer IU appeared on a recent recording of MBC ‘Star Audition – The Great Birth 2′ and visited the Mentor School of Yoon Sang, her mentor and close friend, to offer her support.
Yoon Sang expressed his delight and told IU, “You’re a loyal fellow”. IU’s arrival also loosened up the tension that pervaded the practice room, with the final evaluation coming up.
IU also said, “I was curious about Yoon Sang’s mentees, so I decided to come down and visit the practice venue.”
Just before that, the mentees were doing their best to use their ‘supernatural powers’ to memorise the lyrics that they kept stumbling over. IU marveled in appreciation at the mentees who showed her the song they would be singing and told them, “It’s been such a pleasure for my ears today.”
This episode involving IU and Yoon Sang’s mentees will be broadcasted on Jan 6th at 9:55 PM KST.

You can’t find another face like Jieun’s that has never gone under the knife before…One can tell just by looking at her childhood photos…Why do they keep saying such things…If this continues, i’ll have to start filing cases against them. I’m not kidding.

…but Jieun said while laughing, “They’ll give up..Just leave it.” Is this…her being cool or just her being a mountain god (Note: That’s what Yoo Inna calls IU)…but if this continues, I’ll certainly take drastic measures.

Kim Yuna and IU donate ‘Ice Flower’ profits to national figure skating team

‘Figure skating queen’ Kim Yuna and the ‘Nation’s little sister’ IU donated 73 million won to the national figure skating team. These are profits from the duet ‘Ice Flower’, which they sang when filming for the SBS TV show, Kim Yuna’s Kiss and Cry, last year. In doing so, they kept to the promise they made during the recording of ‘Ice Flower’, which was to “use all the profits from the digital single sales to benefit young figure skaters”.
Kim Yuna said, “The number of training environments have increased compared to when I was younger, but there are still many lacking areas” and “I will continue to train hard and I hope to become an even more excellent athlete than I am now.”
IU also said, “I’m a fan of Yuna-unni, so not only was I glad to sing this song, it’s also such an honour for me to be here with her today” and “I didn’t expect myself to be doing such a good deed. I’ll continue to support the figure skaters so that they can work even harder. I hope Korea’s figure skating will continue to make good progress.”

IU Attends “Ice Flowers” Proceeds Donation Press with Kim Yuna

All proceeds from ‘Figure Queen’ Yuna Kim and singer IU’s duet song ‘Ice Flower’ have been donated to build a figure skating-only ice rink. “Ice Flower” was recorded on June 8th was used as the theme song for “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry”. ‘Ice Flower’ is metaphor for the sweat and tears that are shed on the ice.
Today IU attended with Kim Yuna “Ice Flowers” Proceeds Donation Press. Pictures have been uploaded from the event.
